Santa Cruz’s Hightower has for many years been the benchmark for versatile ‘do anything’ mountain bikes. At its heart the Hightower is a trail bike, with a near-perfect balance of pedal efficiency, grip and travel, making this a fantastic option for riders looking to hit the bikepark as well as put in some laps around the local trail centre.
Here we present the V3 Hightower frame, refined and tweaked to draw out even more potential. The new lower shock position and VPP link provide incredible pedal efficiency and anti-squat, with a longer wheelbase offering stability at high speeds. Travel is increased to 160mm at the front and 150mm at the rear. Paired with rapid-rolling 29″ wheels, the Hightower can easily handle technical terrain while remaining composed on flatter pedalling sections.
The top-of-the-range CC frames use Santa Cruz’s most advanced carbon and manufacturing techniques. This makes for a slightly lighter and stiffer frame than the C-spec carbon.
